Today I’m going to reveal the Best Accounting Software for small business in 2019.

And this is important:

I didn’t just rate the tools based on my personal opinion…

I put each accounting software checker to the test.

That way, I could find the best accounting software tool on the market right now… based on actual data.

So without further ado, let’s do this!

FreshBooks provides small businesses with cloud-based accounting solutions and was created by Mike McDerment and Joe Sawada and is located in Canada in Toronto.

Xero is a domiciled public software company and is designed for small to medium sized companies. It offers an accounting platform which is cloud based and  was created in 2006 by Rod Drury together with his accountant. Xero has offices located around the world including New Zealand, Australia, the UK, the United States, Asia and South Africa.

QuickBooks was created in 1983 in the USA by Tom Proulx and Scott Cook.  It is both marketed and developed by Intuit and is an accountancy software package.   The products are tailored towards small to medium-sized businesses offer cloud-based versions and on-premises accounting applications.

Sage 50 Accounting is published by the Sage Group and is a type of business management software which is subscription based.  It is published by the Sage Group and is sold throughout the United States.

Wave’s headquarters are situated in Toronto in Canada and are a company that focuses on providing online software and financial services for smaller businesses    Waves manages in excess of $244 billion in both income and expense transactions for their clients, which also include $16 billion in yearly invoicing.

NetSuite’s headquarters are located in California, USA and was created in 1998 by Evan Goldberg.  It offers accounting software which is web hosted and helps businesses to manage their finances, operations and customer interactions.  Its focus is on medium to large businesses and includes e-commerce features, DRM and consolidated ERP.

FreeAgent was created in September 2007 by Olly Headey, Ed Molyneaux and Roan Lavery. It is accounting software which is cloud based and is focused towards micro businesses and freelancers including their accountants.

Zoho Books is designed with small businesses in mind and provides an accounting solution to help them in the management of their finances and cash flows. It helps its users to make sensible business decisions and is straightforward to use.

OnPay is designed with small to medium sized businesses and is extremely easy to implement. It is a complete payroll solution which is cloud based.  It also has the capability to streamline payroll processes and automate payments and tax filing.

Sage Intacct is a financial management platform which is cloud based.   Many different businesses use the product’s apps and they are preferred choice for AICPA business solutions. It’s a good accounting software for small business.

ADP Workforce Now is a human resource management software which is web based.  It basically automates most HR processes such as holidays, employee benefits and payroll management – and all from one dashboard!

Tipalti is management and payment automation software which is cloud-based. It is designed to help businesses to meet their deadlines as well as help to resolve problems such as administrative overload, non-compliance and late payments.

FinanicalForce Accounting is a robust accountancy software that is cloud based. It is straightforward to use and is geared towards either small or large businesses.

DayForce HCM is cloud based platform which includes loads of features such as management of the workforce, payroll, tax, benefits and HR management to name but a few.

Zoho Expense is an accountancy solution. It simplifies expense tracking and reporting and is able to automate several expense management tasks as well as recording all financial transactions.

Zeniefits is geared towards businesses which are small to medium in size and is a management tool for online human resources.

KashFlow is mostly used by small UK businesses and is a bookkeeping and accounting platform. It includes integrations and features that most businesses can benefit from.

AND CO was built with small studios and freelance professionals in mind.  It is a complete business solution which is FREE and enables users to manage and streamline their business procedures without additional financial expenditure.

AccountEdge Pro is a double-entry accounting tool which is completely comprehensive. It is fully customizable and includes features such as reports, inventory and time billing.

GoDaddy Bookkeeping

GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping is perfect for users who sell on Amazon, Etsy and eBay due to its direct integration. It doesn’t however, offer in-depth bookkeeping and isn’t very flexible unlike its competitor, FreshBooks’s.

Kashoo is an account service which is online.  It is good for managing expense and income management, support and usability.

OneUp is fairly good when it comes down to double-entry accounting compared with some of its competitors.  It really stands out in areas such as inventory management, and pricing but does fall a little in others such as integrated payroll applications.

AccountMate both creates and markets business accounting software which is fully modifiable. Its systems range from versions for single users to systems that support several hundreds.

CYMA Accounting Software is focused towards medium sized businesses which are still growing.  It is an excellent accounting software solution which uses flexible user environments and includes a complete suite of helpful accounting software modules.

Red Wing Software is designed with small to medium sized businesses, agribusinesses and municipals in mind.  It creates and distributes payroll and accounting software and includes loads of time saving features like quick lists, pop-up reminders to name but a few.

SAP provides financial accounting solutions which includes a whole heap of robust accounting functionalities to help any company manage their reporting and global accounting complexities.

Traverse ERP software enables users to have an overall view into all their businesses processes.  It allows for seamless system integration via the application suite, and data can easily be integrated with other databases and applications including websites and third-party applications.

Yendo Business’ accounting software for small business is a fairly new type of online Accounting and CRM software. It is straightforward to use and gives users a bird’s eye view of their company’s performance, month by month.
