Your marketing strategy lives and dies by this.<\/p><p>Understanding what your customer wants depends on you recognizing the two pillars of a successful marketing strategy:<\/p><p><strong>TOP TIP:<\/strong> Research your competitor:<\/p><ul class=\"ali-bulet-green\"><li>What other brands do they buy?<\/li><li>How are those companies &#8211; who are already successfully selling to those people &#8211; sell to them?<\/li><li>What colors do they use?<\/li><li>What messages are they sending?<\/li><li>What values do they seem to be promoting?<\/li><\/ul><p>Once you have this information, you can take all of this and figure out what <em>your<\/em> business must be in the mind of those customers, in order for them to choose you over everybody else.<\/p><p>Finally, make a promise your customer wants to hear. Align your entire organization around delivering on that promise, better than anyone else on the block.<\/p><p>Of course, this keeps changing as your company continues to grow. You will always be learning about the demographics and psychographics of your customers and continually updating your marketing strategy.<\/p><p>When you first start your business, you should already have defined the demographics of your customers.
